How To Make A Natural Energy Drink At Home

Do you want to know how to make a natural energy drink at home that also doubles as a homemade electrolyte drink recipe?

It’s actually not as hard as you might think. I have 4 very similar versions of a homemade Gatorade/energy drink that I’m going to share with you. They all have only 3 – 5 ingredients that you basically just mix together.

One nice thing about the natural energy drink recipes I make is that they all include ginger. So when my kiddos are sick I usually make these not only for their dehydration but it also helps their tummies feel better too. Two drinks for the price of one 😉

Without further ado … My Natural Energy Drink / Homemade Electrolyte Drink Recipes

Homemade Electrolyte Drink Recipe #1How to make natural energy drinks & homemade electrolyte drink recipes all in one. It's easy, healthy and a great no caffeine boost for mornings, for kids with the stomach flu or a DIY sports drink. Made with an apple cider vinegar, raw honey (or maple syrup if vegan) & ginger mix.

Ingredients

Directions

Add all ingredients to a quart sized mason jar, screw on the lid and shake it up. Add ice and enjoy.

GINGER DIRECTIONS for ALL 4 VERSIONS

Grate your ginger (I use a Microplane grater) and place it in a cheesecloth or a nut milk bag (which are washable & reusable) and squeeze out as much juice as you possibly can. Add to your drink mix.

If you want to do this in bulk you can also throw a large nob of ginger into a high powered blender with maybe a cup to a cup and a half of water. Puree until smooth and then freeze in ice cube trays. Use one to two ginger cubes in your homemade natural energy drink.

Using fresh ginger or ground ginger are your cheapest options and using ground ginger or pre-made ginger juice are your easiest options. You choose what is more important to you 😀

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 herbal tea bags (your choice of flavor)
  • 2 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar (again preferably with the mother)
  • 2 Tbsp Honey (or Pure Maple Syrup if vegan)
  • 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, 1 Tbs ginger juice or ½ tsp ground ginger

Directions

Add all ingredients to a quart sized mason jar, screw on the lid and shake it up. Add ice and enjoy.

Add all ingredients to a quart or pint-sized mason jar and stir until well combined. I don’t shake this one like I do my other recipes because the whole point of using the sparkling water is for the fizz.

Since there is no caffeine in any of these drinks you won’t crash from caffeine leaving your system. Which in turn just leads you to more caffeine to sustain your energy. Creating a dependence on caffeine and putting your body on an unneeded roller coaster ride.
