This Cilantro Lime Marinade adds the perfect amount of flavor. I have used it for chicken, beef, & shrimp and it is great. I have not used it on pork but I think it would add a nice flavor to a tenderloin.

Marinating your meat can impart a lot of flavors. Instead of having another boring grilled chicken breast try a good marinade like this one to enjoy more flavor.

Chicken is a staple in our diet but bland boring chicken gets old fast! Don’t settle for that. Healthy food can be and should be delicious.

Cilantro Lime Marinade

  • 1/2 bunch of cilantro
  • 2 green onions
  • 2 – 4 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3-4 cloves garlic
  • zest of 1 lime
  • juice of 2 limes
  • 1 tsp. red pepperĀ flakes
  • 1 tsp. salt

Put all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until desired consistency. Simple as that.

Since there is so much lime in this marinade I only recommend marinating your meat in this for about 1-2 hours. All of the acids will start to “cook” your meat, changing the texture, usually in an unpleasant way.

Marinate just about any meat you want in this: chicken, beef, shrimp, pork, etc.

Great for a grilled veggie marinade too!

Vegetarian? This would make a good marinade for tempeh and tofu.

Any way you use it you’ll add great flavor to your dish.
